Alexandre Gama is an experienced advertising expert with an experience spanning over three decades. He studied at Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation where he earned a degree in Advertising and communications. Gama began his work as a copywriter at Standard Ogilvy and Mather in 1982. Since then, he has dedicated his entire life to the publicity industry.
In 1990, Alexandre Gama joined DM9 as a creative director and a copywriter. During his four year stint at the company, he became the most famous copywriter in Brazil. He later worked as the Creative Director of Almap BBDO where he was also a shareholder before becoming the CEO, CCO and global board member of Young & Rubican.
In 1999, Alexandre Gama founded his agency, Neogama. In the first three years, it became the fastest growing organization in the country. In its first year, the company won the Golden Lion at the Cannes Festival. It was the first Brazilian agency to win the award. Between 2002 and 2016, Neogama operated in partnership with BBH. In 2003, Neogama won again two Golden Lions at the Cannes festival making the first Brazilian agency to receive such an award. Today, Neogama operates independently
